Terms of service

These terms apply to every application booked through ETAs.one. Please read the sections on when you pay, on cancelling and on what a refund covers before you book.

Who we are and what we do

ETAs.one is an independent commercial application service for UK Electronic Travel Authorisations (ETAs). We are not the UK government, we are not affiliated with the Home Office, UK Visas and Immigration or GOV.UK, and we have no special status with any of them. You can apply directly through GOV.UK for the government fee of £20 per traveller, or in the official UK ETA app, without using us.

This service is operated by Adviesnetwerk B.V.; its address and contact details are on the imprint page. Support is available at support@etas.one.

What you ask us to do

You instruct us to check the information and photos you send, prepare the application, pay the UK government's application fee from the amount you pay us, and submit the application to the Home Office on the traveller's behalf. Our team may contact you to ask for clarification or a correction. This is administrative application assistance. It is not immigration or legal advice.

Who needs an ETA

At booking you confirm that each traveller needs a UK ETA: they are not British or Irish citizens, do not already hold a valid ETA or UK immigration permission, and are not exempt residents of Ireland. The UK government decides who needs an ETA, and the rules change, so check the current rules on GOV.UK before you book. Our guidance is general information.

Price and payment

You pay a fixed total for each traveller. The total includes our service and the government fee of £20, which we pay to the Home Office in pounds sterling. Each traveller needs a separate application. The totals are:

  • Standard: US$136.95 or £104.95 or €104.95 per traveller, with a review and submission target of 24 hours.
  • Priority: US$194.95 or £149.95 or €149.95 per traveller, with a review and submission target of 2 hours.
  • Express: US$214.95 or £164.95 or €164.95 per traveller, with a review and submission target of 30 minutes.

When you pay

Payment is taken through Stripe in pounds sterling, euro or US dollars, as you choose, before you complete the passport details, photo uploads and application questions. We never see or store your card details. We charge the total shown at booking and nothing after it.

Confirmation of payment is not a submission to the government and not an ETA approval. We cannot submit an incomplete application, so the work starts once you have sent everything we need.

Processing targets

The time for each option is our target for review and submission, counted from the moment we hold complete, accurate answers and suitable photos. It is not a promise about when the government will decide. Requests for missing information, unsuitable photos or further review can extend our preparation, and the government's own processing period starts after we submit.

If you cannot give us the information we need, or a traveller turns out not to need an ETA, contact us before we submit. The refund policy explains what you get back.

Your responsibilities

Use the passport the traveller will travel with, and check every detail against it. Give complete, accurate answers and original, suitable photos. You must have the traveller's permission to apply for them, and for a child the permission of a person with parental responsibility.

Incorrect or incomplete information can lead to a refusal, or to a new application and another government fee, which you would pay.

Review before we submit

Our team reviews the details and photos before submission. A person looks at some photos and at some answers, such as answers about criminal convictions or immigration history. The review checks that the application is complete and suitable to send. It does not decide whether the Home Office will grant an ETA, and it does not promise that it will. We may ask you to correct or replace a photo or an answer before we submit.

You authorise the submission yourself, at the end of the application, after checking every traveller.

The government's decision

Only the Home Office decides whether an ETA is granted. We cannot influence a decision, speed it up or promise entry to the UK. It may grant an ETA, refuse it, ask for more information, take longer than you expect, or cancel or revoke an ETA it has granted. None of these is a failure of our service.

Allow up to three working days after submission for a decision, and longer if the Home Office asks for more. Do not travel, and do not book travel you cannot change, until you have confirmation of an approved ETA. An ETA is linked to the passport used in the application and is normally valid for two years or until that passport expires, whichever comes first. An ETA does not guarantee entry: border officers decide that when you arrive.

Starting work, cancelling and refunds

By accepting these terms at booking you ask us to start work after payment. You can contact support@etas.one at any time to cancel. We will tell you what work has been done and whether the application has been submitted, and explain the refund that applies, before we resolve your request. If we have not started work, we refund you in full.

Once we have submitted an application, the government fee has been paid and the service has been performed. From then on the fee is not refunded, whatever the Home Office decides. The refund policy sets this out, and lists the cases in which we do pay you back.

You may have legal rights to cancel a distance contract, including a period of 14 days. These terms do not limit any right the law gives you as a consumer, and cannot exclude one.

Our responsibility

We are responsible for submitting the application with the details you confirmed, and for telling you promptly if we cannot. If we make a mistake in that, we submit a correct application at our cost or refund you in full.

We are not responsible for the decision, for processing times, for the UK government's systems, for whether you are allowed to enter the UK, or for the consequences of details you entered incorrectly. Our liability for any booking is limited to the amount you paid for it, except where the law does not allow that limitation, such as for intent, gross negligence or injury to a person.

Support and complaints

Email support@etas.one with the reference from your receipt. We aim to answer within one business day. If you are not satisfied with how we handled a complaint, you can also use the consumer dispute procedures available in your country of residence.

Changes and applicable law

We may update these terms. The version shown on this page at the time you book is the one that applies to that booking.

These terms are governed by the law of the country in which the operator of this service is established, as stated on the imprint page. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer rules of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim before its courts.

These terms are written in English. If a translation is provided, the English version prevails.
